What I feel when I put an old lens on a digital camera is that it has a certain amount of "film-ness" to it. Maybe it's in the lens, not the film".
The photos, especially those taken with the popular old Summarit 5cm lens, are unprocessed and already look like film.
It looks like film, even though it's not processed in a film-like way.
Probably because I remember film photos taken with an old lens, taken with an old lens. Digital photography must also feel like film.
In other words, we have the same colors and textures that the properties of film produce, of course. Perhaps it's the lens aberration that brings out the "filminess" and nostalgia.
So what I'm wondering about is how to use a film camera with a state-of-the-art digital-age lens to take pictures. What happens when you take a picture.
Of course, I have taken such photos and will write a post about it later.
